Lindley Park is centered around a public park which is located between Spring Garden Street, Walker Ave, and the City's Arboretum.
In 2004 the City of Greensboro and the neighborhood association created a "Neighborhood Plan" to help invest in the future of the Lindley Park Neighborhood.
Named after John Van Lindley, who dedicated 60 acres along Spring Garden Street for an amusement park and man-made lake. When the park closed in 1917 the city designed and developed the Lindley Park Neighborhood.
